The following is a letter I received from my cousin David B. It is an amazing letter and I would like to share it with all who visit here. I hope he doesn't mind. Thank you Dave.
Dear Shirley,
We were all so sorry to hear the news concerning your daughter Angela.
I am sorry I haven't written to you sooner. But I have been trying to make some sense of it all rather than just writing to express my sorrow to you, and for Angela as well.
Life is just such a mysterious mixture of joy and despair, of sadness and of hope, of darkness and of light. It really seems that there is no alternative other than to bear these or not. I have known enough different situations to know better than to judge whether either one is right or wrong.
Trying to understand Life is like trying to understand the nature of what is unknowable. By it's very definition it is impossible to do and can therefore be incredibly taxing on the human spirit. I can only believe that we must all follow our own clues, arriving at our own conclusions. Most times these are incomprehensible to those around us, and most especially to those who we love and who love us most.

do understand that there is a lot I don't understand.
